Apparently not since they survived long enough to reproduce, but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't have helped the reproduction rates either. To disregard something purely because we don't need “””””” it “””””” is dumb.

Second of all: There has always existed a percentage of the population that never gets to reproduce. To suppose that for every single male in that group, no matter how much we changed the circumstances in their life, that they would still never have been able to reproduce, seems unlikely. So even though reading dating books may be an inefficient way to change your own life, they can probably change at least a few dudes lives if we view their effects on an entire population.
