Who wrote the book lit? Zampano, Johnny, or Pelafina?

Who's the true author and who are just characters?

Just finished it. Was wondering what /lit thought of it.

/lit/ I'm bored and having very much trouble finishing this book.

It's a very, very good book.
But it plays with the structure of narrative in a way that's completely insane to entry-level readers.

It's also intentionally uneven -
narrators have long nonsensical run-on passages not to convey any useful information,
but just to show that yes, they are kind of crazy.

Personally, it's one of the most rewarding literary experiences I've had.
In the same way that 'getting' 2001 and beating Demon's Souls are rewarding.

Has anyone here read this monstrous brainfuck of a novel? I'm 300 pages in and I swear the book itself is more labyrinthine than the maze it describes.

I've heard people drawn comparisons to Dionaea Ｈｏｕｓｅ but I didn't really see similarities apart from them both being about... ｈｏｕｓｅs.
What did you guys think? Too pretentious?

Has anybody read House of Leaves? I stumbled upon it last night, and the concept seems interesting. Reviews seemed kind of love or hate, though. So, is it worth a read? I've been in the mood for a good horror book.

Just finished House of Leaves.

I was trolled so hard. Everyone stared at me on the train when I needed to flip the book over.

So uh, yeah, what'd you all think of it? Lets keep this spoiler free.

I know /x/ has a hard on for it, what does /lit/ think? Personally, i enjoyed the story itself, but the whole turning the book upside down and shit kinda ruins the whole idea of re-reading it.

So this has a pretty weak gimmick.
