How the actual fuck does it take you 12 years to write 900-1000 pages of what is supposed to be your masterpiece and it’s not even done by now?

If it’s supposed to be 1,500 pages and he started with 200 he could have been writing at a rate of a little over 100 pages a day and been done by now, what the fuck is going on here?
