There was a goodreads thread a day ago that had some guy talking about IJ and how the jokes in it were not something he could 'tell his mates down at the bar', etc. (he goes on to say that that is the criterion for a good joke, but I digress -- keep in mind this is some (possibly bait) goodreads review,) Anyhow, I got to thinking, is there any book that the whole plot of the book is the set-up to a punchline at the very end? I would like to read that.
