You've got options here:

He can either have the dragon mentality, where all he sees worth in the world is "finding gold and sitting on it," which basically makes his only goal in life to keep his position of power - in this aspect, you can write him to be a wreck for the attachment he has given this neverending mortal hold on power. He may be educated and powerful, but he is reclusive and terrified of what the world may actually do upon what he has so long worked for, so he avoids Death at all cost.

Or, you can write a character who is disillusioned with the world from countless centuries of friends and allies dying around him - he's become something of a lunatic in a seemingly endless hunger that feeds the void of emptiness that come from living forever. He seeks thrill and realizes that as somebody who has lived so long, the greatest excitements he could ever hope to realize would need him do things way outside of the social norms/put in him in the way of Death.

I don't follow - is it that bad? Have you never read Holy Sonnet X so you can't judge? Do you honestly just not have the time/expertise to adequately judge?

I mean, any of these is understandable, I'd just like to know.

I used to write a comedy blog; it was my first attempt to try and transfer my humor into writing but it really ends up "lolrandum" at some parts.
