I disagree on this. After reading the sequel it's pretty clear he wasn't planning on writing a whole series about it. They feel disjointed from each other
Haven't read The Ringwolrd Throne but from I know he only wrote it cause he didn't finish the book he was contractually obligated to write (Strangely this is also the only book not available on ebook format and considered the worst)
