Why didn't Marx foresee that writing a book like the communist manifesto about creating a movement based on utopian thought would make it extremely vulnerable to being subverted by other utopian fantasies like those of progressive liberalism? because Marx couldn't just stay grounded in reality, leftist movements now exist as little more than front line attack dogs for the democratic elite, fostering a pool of infinite grievances and ethnic and cultural division that alienate pretty much everyone and leaves the working class completely and utterly atomized, furthering the goals of democracy which already functions by dividing the working class and playing them against each other
