wtf I thought /lit/ had a constant boner for The Count of Monte Cristo. Gankutsuou nailed the persona of the Count better than any other adaptation I've seen.

I usually don't let myself compare across the two mediums, but some like to utilize a lot of the same qualities that I like to see in books. I'm thinking in particular of Jin-Roh, Monster, Ghost in the Shell, Trapeze, Eve no Jikan, Baccano, and anything by Satoshi Kon.
