>Just because the majority of us don't fulfill our potential doesn't mean we don't have that potential.

Why are you talking about it as if this is a desirable outcome? Every endeavor on a human level led by so-called rationalists (using the word loosely here) was a complete disaster. Which is why scientists have no place in politics whatever except in an advisory capacity.

And I'm by no means a Ludite. In fact, I hold science in high regard and I'm a strong advocate of clear thinking. But if you're getting your education and life advice from places like lesswrong (or any transhumanist community, really) you should know that you've been brainwashed by a cult that looks attractive because they're working under the guise of science. Ray Kurzweil, Eliezer Yudkowsky and the rest of their ilk are just false prophets of this century, spinning a myth that rational materialists with no proper education outside of their fields gobble up.

And since this isn't a politics thread, you can write up your response to this and let's keep it at that.

>bill Nye gets his own propaganda show
>march for science
>I heard that Brian Cox (a UK physicist and physicist popularised) is getting a stadium tour

Is Science the new sex, drugs, and rock and roll? Are writers so irrelevant?

Have you noticed that publishing companies have become fully colonised by women and minorities who attention whore? This is a major death sentence.
