Pic kinda related.

I don't really like him: I enjoy his books while I read them but they never leave any lasting impression once I have finished. They're like Pringles: you enjoy them while you are eating them but they never leave you full or satisfied.

Only book which breaks that pattern for me is Mother Night which is pretty good.

Only analogy I can think of is snack food: I enjoy them but it never leaves me feeling satisfied or content when I finish - like: oh this is nice, oh wait I'm done, is that it?
