I just finished reading about Presocratics and Sophists.

Do I read Plato before I read about Cynics? I just want to read a book dedicated to Diogenes the Cynic

Why do you read philosophy from its primary source instead of using textbooks? Do you enjoy wasting time?

In every religious creation text I've ever read, women are always brought into the world to either create badness, or be the source of badness. Why is this?

Can we chat about Mario? Do you think his solipsism had something to do with God? As in, do you think his "NPCs" were, in fact, just part of the same essence as "He" was? So if I were to kill myself like he did, I would return to God, since we're all God?

Did he ever come to this conclusion in his videos? Never watched all of them.

Why should one read (((books)))? You can extract information from other sources, like from 4chan for an example. The idea of reading books being a productive endeavor while reading 4chan posts being unproductive one is just an agenda-ridden nonsense pushed by book industry.

Christians translate this passage as:
>"they pierced my hands and my feet."
And it seems to agree with the Septuagint translation of ὤρυξαν χεῗράς μου καὶ πόδας. However, Jews translate this passage as:
>"like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet"
Is this a case of Jews trying to downplay the passage's reference to the crucifixion or is this a case of Christians mistranslating the text on purpose to make it fit a Christian narrative? Help me out here bros.

>Trump is definitely no Caesar, more like a Gracchi Brother.
You need to go back to pol mate. To suggest that Trump, a president supported by the most conservative voters of the U.S., is somewhat similar to a Gracchi brother is ludicrous. Even a person with the most basic understanding of the formation of the optimates would see the clear fallacy of your statement.
>They're not abandoned, they're exhausted meaning they're still there but no longer work.
Do you know how I know you come from /pol/? It's because you believe in simple words intended to suit the simple mind. You choose to dumb down the western ethos and hundreds of years of ideological strife by assuming the west to be some kind of monolith. The actual discussions on this board which require thoughtful arguments fly over your head because you are glued to outlandish conclusions. These only seem outlandish because you have managed to read them out of context whilst embarrassingly reading the entire context.

Economics isn't about money you retards. It is a social science which is concerned with consumption, production, the allocation of goods and services etc. Most branches in economics actually have more in common with another field depending on what branch of course (e.g. econometricians will have more in common with mathematicians than with behavioural economists). If you want money, go start a scam. Economics is just a bunch of mental gymnastics based on theories with shallow axioms. It still works though.

Nobody who actually reads books thinks that Infinite Jest is pretentious. It's the people that never read books and then, somewhere in between freshman year in college and before completing graduate school, decide to take a swing at reading "a big book for big people"; these are the people that are considered pretentious. The kind of people that can relate to both Hal's marijuana addiction and the Ennet House junkies while somehow fitting their own middle-class environment into that corporate/entertainment landscape framed in IJ. After reading it however, they somehow think it is without a doubt the greatest novel ever written and then they start reccomending it and feel the need to bring the novel into the conversation whenever someone is talking about books. This is because IJ (by the way I think it's a pretty book good but nowhere near the greatest of even the past decades) has become a fashion piece for insincere intellectuals.
