Ignore the negative posters. They are NGMI.

You actually have a vision and desire your work to have purpose.

The only real issue at hand is that your demographic is neither made of actual readers, nor the topic (the misadventures of hispanic men) is appealing to the average reader, who is a young female. Even inside your audience, most of them would rather read genre fiction than an actual book about their perils.

Still, you should write. You MUST write.

>why?

Because only imbeciles want to write what sells. An actual writer writes what deserves to be written — that is where the true glory lies, in making an accurate depiction of the inner chaos of an entire demographic during a time in history.

>from where to start?

Many such approaches. I think the inciting plot of Brothers Karamazov (three half-brothers with completely different outlooks of life portraying their entire generation come together in a city to meet their father) could be repeated. Since it is a generational drama, I suggest you talk a lot around 2nd generation hispanics to truly capture their experience.

You'll make it, anon. I believe in you.

>I've had very few mentors, friends, girlfriends or general human interaction in most of my life, it's not something I'm good at.

This literally NEVER stopped anyone.

Authors are not exactly Chads, anon. In fact, some of their greatest works are fanfictions on how they wished their lives were like.

Honestly, you sound very cuckish, almost a redditor. It's better this way, anon. She sounds like an interesting female. She'd have certainly traded you for another man. Your pain would be much greater now.

I've written actual stories, Anon. I swear I have.

The problem is that nothing ever felt sincere. I was in great pain and I could not lie to myself anymore into writing about the adventures of these courageous heroes and their abstract virtues when I'm going broke, have no friends, barely have what to eat and must spend my whole day in the mall because it has Wi-Fi and I can't afford an internet bill.

I feel like a failure compared to everyone around my age and can't skip a day without thinking about suicide. I was in so much pain that nothing felt sincere. Writing this novel has been an exercise of exorcism. Of course I had to delete a lot of my first draft in order to still have a a coherent plot instead of an essay about dperession. I think I had an interesting take on romance, overcoming suicide and accepting life as it is. I failed it in real life and I'm the quintessential suicide by 30 guy, but I entertain the thought that a self-insert character is like the ancient greek tragedies, and a miracle will happen to save the day when it is bleak.
