>The basis of all willing ... is need, lack, and hence pain, and by its very nature and origin [any animal] is therefore destined to pain. If, on the other hand, it lacks objects of willing, because it is at once deprived of them again by too easy a satisfaction, a fearful emptiness and boredom come over it; in other words, its being and its existence itself become an intolerable burden for it. Hence its life swings like a pendulum to and fro between pain and boredom, and these two are in fact its ultimate constituents.

This makes more sense to me that I'd like. Pls post rebuttals.

Alright, I need an answer to this before I go mad.

What words ending in -ed do you pronounce with the -ed separate, and which do you not? all of them? none of them? and why?

What I mean is words like winged, which I would normally pronounced as one syllable, being pronounced 'wing-edd'. Is this just an archaic way of pronouncing them?

I've never known which words to pronounce in this way since I first started hearing it, or why it's done. I just now heard someone say 'crown-edd' and I need to fucking know.
