Here's a rec image, though since IT is on it you might not be a fan.

What's some horror that you've read and have enjoyed? I think to some extent it's a requirement that it's not as entirely cohesive and natural as 'non-genre' literature is. Part of why King works so well is the fact he manages to twist these silly things juuust over the line into being scary (also why his horror work is so hard to translate to film).

Hey /lit/, I was interested in reading a horror story with a key themes being darkness, loneness and with a faceless foe if possible. I saw your recommended reading (see pic) but nothing there catches my interest. Just wondering if anyone knows of any other novels that may fit this?

If you go back to the link and click on that same image, it pops up in a little window. In the bottom right corner there is a little icon with a document and a magnifying glass. Click on that icon and it'll take you to another page where you can then get the full sized image.

I'll help you out just this once.

If you could pick only one of these books. Which one would it be?
I'm going to buy one of them soon during the amazon sale. I'm currently leaning towards The Pilo Family Circus.

I'm still here.

Well, I wanted to add one of each author. The only double author is King because I dont think you can ignore him, even when I tried. Anyway, I already have a joe hill in "Heat Shaped Box"

I don't know people are ignoring my updates and repeating, it's odd. But thank you for the thoughts thus far.

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR. I asked a friend who know more about modern horror then me and apparently the odder and gory thing is hip at the moment. I think you can pick the three out.

Anyway, Any more classic or 20th?
