Pet Sematary, not that bad. I mean, it's a sentient but physically sloppy evil 3 year old. I'll be fine

What books are you guys reading for the week of Halloween or the actual day?

I'm definitely going to read Pet Sematary but still looking for other books though. What about you guys?

What does /lit/ think of Pet Semetary and other Stephen King books alike?
I find his endings to be weak, but otherwise I think he does a pretty damn good job.

Can you help me out, I'm trying to type a book report for Stephen Kings, Pet Sematary. and I'm having some troubles with the following:

Characters: good descriptions on characters, I want to use Louis, Rachel, Gage, The Daughter, and Church, just not sure how to describe, and do I need more?

Awards: I need some awards this book won.

Drawbacks or other cautions: What!?...

Thanks to all who help out

Why would you even read a writer who can't spell "Cemetery"?

I just finished reading Pet Sematary, and something occurred to me.

Stephen King sure likes to use that literary device where the character talks to himself sarcastically in his head and brings up other stuff he said before only kind of in context.

"Hey ho, let's go."

He's done this in The Shining and Misery too. So I thought I'd start a thread where we discuss the things he does in every one of his books.

-Ancient Evil that's only vaguely explained
-Child Abuse
-Main Character that Talks in Their Head A Lot
-The Bad Guy Just Sorta Defeats Itself

Also a Stephen King / Pet Sematary general thread

Just read this for the first time. Not exactly scary - just really fucking disturbing. I felt kind of queasy afterwards.
