My camera is dogshit, and I won't have (easy) access to a scanner for about three weeks.
I'll start sharing stuff about then.
I have a lot of Chinese landscape painting which I think you'd like, and a small amount of Japanese.
This is a shitty photograph of a page from a book on Soga Shohaku, one of those rare painters whose landscapes and faces are equally distinctive. A distinctively Japanese feature of landscape painting turns up in his work: diagonal shafts of light all across the canvas.

I recommend... pretty much the entire Song dynasty corpus of Shanshui, especially Li Tang aka Li Cheng and Dong Yuan. Mostly sepia coloured landscapes that look more Martian than Chinese, done in "portrait" position.
