It's actually surprisingly tough
I was very comfortably reading 40 pages of Simenon a day but Balzac is kicking my ass and making me feel like I don't know the language

I bought a leather book 3 weeks ago
2 weeks ago I started getting itchy pubic hair
Next I started getting blisters filled with clear fluid forming
Afterwards they scabbed black and then fell off

I just want to read French already but here I am confusing partout with surtout
Goddamn

I have yet to find an author born before 1900 who was not racist for todays standards

Why do you men study philosophy?

I have read quite a few works of philosophy, and every time I become acquainted with a philosophical system I feel a sinking feeling in my chest. It is the knowledge that within my entire life, I will never be able to gain any insight into the nature of the universe. I will never even get the slightest bit of truth about the concepts which underlie existence. The closest I can come is parroting the ideas of some genius (who is also wrong) and pretending as though I have accomplished something.

How do you cope with this?

I hate Liberalism but I have to admit that I am basically a Liberal
I was listening the French anthem the other day and I get up to the part where 'Liberté, Liberté chérie' comes out of nowhere and I start tearing up and get filed with a passion for Liberalism
