Redpill me on Penrose. how does one get started with Penrose? I checked out his take on Boltzmann, and it was quite not withholding the low brow soapy bits here and there. R2R was a 'too high shelf' for me. The 'quantum brain' part was based though. Only i lost myself dozen times through the book.
Also what's your take on J.W.Gibbs? I am gathering myself to read his works. There could be some gems hidden.

I was super hyped about Hofstadter after GEB. I dropped the strange loop after the prolonged intro where author was bragging as an old man.
GEB although giga pretentious, was a work of a genius.

Pls suggest something similar. reading this book made me feel like if I was Steve jobs in 70s. Everything makes sense again. I've enrolled in math grad studies after a decade of lowlifing and neeting.
I don't care if pseuds love this book. Most likely I myself am sub 80 IQ midwit. I don't care. Its like the scene from 'kill bill' when club owner gives a line to his hooker employee saying ' be somebody'.
I want to be somebody. Pls suggest me GEB related material.
