Tao Lin tries to be economic, but he just has no idea what he's doing. He tries to convey emotion but he hasn't got a grasp on anything he feels. His writing is disjointed and hollow. The media references are annoying. His books are barely passable as books. I've read Richard Yates and EEE and disliked everything is both. 3/10 for pretty weak "deadpan" humor. If you can even call it humor at all. Would not read anything by him again.
