I would like to read some detailed accounts of people dying. Is there an anthology collecting death stories of common people dying in a variety of ways?

I would especially like testimonies of people who died and knew it was coming, and accounts which do not spare the living reader anything by way of hopeful or saccharine gloss.

I want to feel the gnawing, horrible, horrifying sensation of realizing that I will, in one short while or other, soon be dead.

Preferably nonfic but I know great writers can achieve the illusion, as in Death of Ivan Ilyich.

Thanks.
