Agreed. Suttree is right up there with Blood Meridian.

>bailing
Baling

>baby bull
A bull is an intact adult. Couldn't be a baby bull or a baby cow. It is a calf. If you were saving it immediately after birth, you could refer to it as a newborn calf...

The reason the calf wouldn't make it would be to lack of colostrum and exposure. The mom wouldn't abandon it that soon if you were raising cattle properly. This story seems like a lie or something you didn't really participate in fully.

>Although she was just a cow.

Makes you sound stupid and like you've made up an identity that you think looks good on paper. It doesn't.

To me, Coetzee always feels too apologist for my American palate.

Saying Bukowski was one of the most influential writers of the 20th century is about like putting Limp Bizkit in a top ten bands of the 20th century list.

Bukowski is something for the uneducated and young to feel edgy with. No one takes him seriously... No one.

You think Kerouac is for youngsters? He's fucking William Faulkner when put aside Charles Bukowski.

In America, Theatre is a hiding place for homosexuals and fat and/or maladjusted women.

If you go see ten shows in any metropolitan area, you are guaranteed that nine will be amazingly terrible.

The one that is palatable will seem better due to how terrible the other nine were.

Since so many homosexuals are in the theatre, you'll notice that many of the plays are about or deal with homosexuality. While this is great that homosexuals have a home for their art, it has generally ruined theatre for the average attendee.

It is essentially a dead art.

Nothing conservative about me, but I'll be southern until the day I am dead.

Enjoy your evening.
