I just finished the Belgariad series.
I actually thought the Inheritance cycle was better even though Paolini copied plot lines

Is The Mallorean series worth reading as a follow up?
Or any suggestions for epic-ish fiction novels along the lines of The Belgariad or Inheritance?

I can vouch for this, though I started as a waiter. Before that I was shy as shit and thought talking to strangers meant bothering people.

I'm still useless in 1v1 with women I find attractive however. I don't know how to fucking flirt at all.

So I was writing a paper and I caught myself doing something I often do: I would rewrite sentences to have one more or less syllable, or ends on a high or low inflection, so that it flows better or something. When I proof others' papers, they always seem to flow poorly to me, and I asked my friend if he pays attention to syllables or word inflection and he said he had never heard of doing that.

Is this a thing, or am I weird and doing some sort of mental gymnastics when I write? PS this post is not written in the way I'm talking about

Has anyone on /lit/ ever been published?
If so, tell me your journey. How long did you work on your writing? How difficult was it to find a willing publisher?

Hey /lit/, is there a word for the expression that basically says "You're kidding, right?"

If not, I say we invent it.
