I don't really know what this is - it's literature and it's sculpture and it's completely fascinating. I come from a literary background, so I view his work as poetry, but what the fuck do I know?

Burroughs is mentioned above, but Dettmer takes the "cut-up" technique to a completely other level. It's not a book though. Or maybe it is.
