He showed no real talent or love for words or the act of telling a story. Even when he's writing about his absolute favorite memories, he doesn't tend to lavish detail on his descriptions and he doesn't get nostalgic about any books the way he does about video games and fashion and skateboarding. He lacked the internal direction to focus his limited talent and therefore never would have achieved any real skill beyond maybe a Michael Crichton level of description and characterization. He only really shows any interest in setting descriptions and how certain places made him feel, writing which, if competently executed, would earn a well-deserved A+ for a "what I did over the summer" essay but does not foretell of a literary genius.

Elliot's writing is very much like Hitler's painting. Whereas Hitler's art showed no creative inspiration but was very skilled on a technical level, Elliot's writing lacks technical skill but it is extremely interesting because of the inspiration behind it. However, if his manifesto were a fictional work it would have probably been seen as a cheap imitation of American Psycho.

But the silence never dies

Books that argue for or against mortality? Does death make life worth living, or is that a cope? I have read the Denial of Death. It was too psychoanalytic to take fully seriously, though it brought up some decent points.

top kek. should've stuck to the art, certainly did a lot better with that than as a leader.

Technically proficient but totally uninspired.
