So I’ve noticed that JFK assassination stuff in both left and right wing circles is insanely popular right now on the internet. Also, overnight everyone is apparently an expert on the “Deep State” etc etc.I guess it can be traced largely to this book which it seems everyone pretty much loves with a full throated recommendation.

I guess... here’s my issue with the theory of a “deep state”, “Illuminati” or technocratic ruling class: If there really is an omnipresent secret overlord class who operates clandestinely through the CIA then why did Donald Trump win in 2016? How is it possible that one of the dumbest people on the planet was able to win the presidency and defeat the most establishment politician of all time? In fact, Trump winning actually restored my faith in the legitimacy of US elections because rheres no way anyone in power wanted him to win. The dumbest country elected the village idiot.

Is there a book that explains Donald Trump’s relationship to the deep state?
