Your r*ddit taste in movies and anime is meaningless. Do the same thing that every newfag should:
>check out the classics
>choose whatever seems interesting to you
>if you like one particular book especially look into the author and check out his other works
>if you liked a certain characteristic among your favorites then look into the subgenre and historical time period for more
So for example:
>"Sound and the fury seems interesting, I'll read that"
>"Wow this was a great book, what about other faulkner works?"
>"Damn nigger this manlet can write! What about other southern gothic stuff?"
Or alternatively:
>"Wow this stream of consciousness stuff is powerful, I should read others who did that!"
And soon enough you will have developed a certain taste that already places you above 90% of this faggot board even if you haven't read as much because most people here just go through the classics like a check list to impress fellow r*dditors and jerk themselves off over how much critically acclaimed literature they have mindlessly flipped through
