It really does peeve me how much his self fellating gets in the way of what are otherwise genuinely interesting analyses. His desire to confirm certain outcomes and ideas really ends up undermining his narratives/myths and leave dumb oversights that have to be handwaved away with a 'uh no i was being allegorical, you dont get it' when even as an allegory it utterly fails. I recently started reading Hegel and the preface to the phenomenology appears to me as a good example of how to write beautifully and passionately without losing rigor or precision, something Neetzsch completely fails at because he thinks rigor somehow has to be discarded to make way for his intense life affirming passion. Im really only this passionate about this because hes still such an interesting and valuable figure so its not exactly just hate, but God is he annoying to read.
