>Is this bad?
Not always, but usually. Depends how much you control it.

>Writing a book this personal doesn't make for a good book does it?

The book being personal probably helps in writing it, but you'll need to massively distance yourself in editing.

>Have other writers done this shit?
Yes, literally every single fanfiction that's ever existed. Self insertation leads to 'Mary Sue's which lead to vomit-inducing stories, as infinitely produced by children and bad writers.

Being invested in your story and characters is good, ejaculating your wish-fulfilment fantasies all over the reader is a path to writing trash. Being self aware of this is a good start.

That's not true. There are multiple types of intelligence but they all factor under general intelligence or the "G factor". As G increases, so does variability in intelligence. So you can be very high in verbal intelligence and have a not terribly impressive quantitative intelligence.

This is how you get the phenomena of STEM fags who can't write for shit and humanities fags who can't do math.

wondering if anybody knows of any writers that focus on the failure of modern philosophy/literature/art to enact change.

why is it that businesses, politicians, etc. seem to DO something and so many intelligent arts student types suffer from inertia.

Like why do people not apply ideas? Are they too theoretical? Or are people so inert because they realise they can't change how things work?
