Where in the appendices are the negro dwarves? Surely that would have been worth describing. Where were they from? Did they arrive from across the sea, or the cave next door? Adding multiethnic societies to Middle Earth is just as anachronistic as adding a car. They imply the modern advancements that led us to having both cars and negroes (in Northwest Europe, which Middle Earth obviously emulates).
