Shit bro, even le epic reddit atheist gets to feel like shooting fish in a barrel.
So tell me, what's your big-brained reasoning to not beat one's meat? God even gets to be an audience

Ranting at strangers about how you don't believe in God because you hate your family isn't an example of being life-affirming and positive.

Also, by your own admission a couple of weeks ago--you haven't read deeply on the subject and base your ideas on New Atheism materialists. (You haven't even tried to read anything from a phenomenological perspective or even something alternative, but respectful of religious experience, like Jung).

The unpopular lit opinion would be along the lines of what you wrote there.

>Agnosticism is the only correct answer and reductive arguments in line with New Atheism are compelling (i.e. disregard anything related to thinkers like Jung because it's too complex--I Love Science says "We're made out of stars!" and that's a simpler way to blow someone's mind).

Actually, it was 000.

Also, the argument was phenomenological (not hard skepticism that everything is faith-based). Of course, an ideologue like this stupid bitch would construe things that way because she isn't used to challenging her own ideas and sees 4chan as a way to form a personal celebrity (pretty self-centered if you ask me...especially when a lot of people treat this forum as a way to have open discussions as anons).

>green of a leaf is obvious
Leaves aren't green. An energy of a certain wavelength bounces off of something and a somehow conscious electric mush labels it as a green leaf.
> it’s provably(sic) an old myth
So it's a long-established meaningful concept.
>science comes out and tells us [we're wrong]
History of Science is mostly systems of belief that are continuously overturned (e.g. Aristotelian Physics -- Newtowianism -- GRT/QT). That doesn't mean science is meaningless; they're actionable and utilitous...but it means there's a high degree of certainty that within a few hundred years the concepts you qualify as science today will no longer qualify as such by your own definition.
>unexplainable giant humanoid figure
Pretty low-hanging fruit for a scholarly person to go after. What if the best way we have of forming ideas related to sublime entities is anthropomorphic?
>Nothin real, all os “faith”
I don't take it on faith that I love someone. I also think that breaking down a concept such as love to biological dispositions and electromagnetic impulses isn't a very useful way to interpret such feelings in a meaningful way. I have faith that what we know is extremely limited and knowledge that we do possess isn't always qualifiable solely via pragmatism or its utility.

So...in light of the above...you have to have a lot of faith label yourself an Athiest and most of the time your arguments are just (pic related).

>Oh I just love those elaborate stories about the EXTREMELY SUBTLE clues that incels tell themselves when they're in denial about being unwanted by women.
spoken like somebody with way less game than he thinks he has
>If she likes you, she's going to follow you around like a sheep and be 100% absorbed by listening to what you have to say before you even open your mouth, like a journalist. They're all like that.
No, they're not all like that, and if you really do think so that just means you're looking for love in all the wrong places. That is clingy, possessive behavior, if your girl does this to you run away, because she'll only make your life a claustrophobic hell, and trim is just not worth that kind of a headache. Stop being a defeatist pussy, truly effective players are usually just guys with normie-tier looks who know how to actually take the steps to make a girl like them from the moment they make eye contact. Yes, women don't actually owe men anything, if you want her to like you, you need to give her solid reasons to like you. It only looks effortless to an outside observer because you don't have a clue what the fuck is going on in the 70% of their human communications which are nonverbal
>If she's not, then she's not interested. Yes, even if she positions her foot at a certain angle relative to you.
How can you know if she's interested if you can't or won't even play the game? Women don't want a man who passively stands there as she flings blindingly obvious cues at him hoping he'll notice one of them, they want a man who knows how, when, and why to take the initiative. They want a man whose timing is impeccable, say, putting your hand on the small of her back at the right moment in the date, with the right pressure, for the right amount of time. They don't want a man who is going to prattle endlessly about his pet interests and not even notice the sideways glances she's shooting around the room. It's a game, a social game, and like all social games, there will never be a formula for success, you have to shut up, nut up, and pick your moment, and stop acting like a whiny bitch when you get rejected. You're shooting yourself in the foot when you get down on yourself for something like that.

No, sluts have a bunch of guys who are only attracted in a reptilian sense to her most superficial features, and in every other respect they have absolutely nothing in common with her. The reason why the beta loser meme exists is that when it comes to superficial contests for the right to smash the pussies of superficial women, the superficial man finds the most common ground, and the thoughtful man always loses. And it's what they deserve for idealizing shallow tarts.

You seem to want instant gratification. If thats what you truly desire, put down Gravity's Rainbow and go out and try and meet these easy girls.

Though if you build a personality and quit being so bitter you'll attract real women and the sex will be better and honest.

sup niggs
last night i was thinking and was like "shit i should do something with myself" considering all i do is play video games and sleep

first of all, any good books or advice on staying motivated/committed to something? i always go to sleep and thats when i start saying "tomorrow im gonna do all this cool shit" but i never do because when i wake up i just dont feel it anymore.

second, any suggestions for expanding my vocabulary? im not an absolute retard, in school i was usually the consultant for spelling grammar and pronunciation inquiries, but i havent been in education for 3 years now

lastly, must read book suggestions? i like cyberpunk shit (neuromancer, snowcrash) and i liked an occurence at owl creek bridge, but other than that i havent actually committed to reading a book in like a year and a half or so

thanks in advance

pic unrelated, on my phone

>tfw term essays all complete and all final exams will be complete by next friday
>tfw summer reading

What are you folks planning to read on your break?
I've picked up:
Blithedale Romance - Hawthorne
The Sketch Book - Irving
The Importance of Being Earnest - Wilde
The Real Thing - Tom Stoppard

I'm rereading Infinte Jest at the moment, but I'm looking for more books to read over the summer.

tl;dr what books are you going to enjoy over the summer?

I know /lit/ tends to dislike things that are popular but are there any books similar not in story, but in style to Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club?

The sometimes garbled series of events, the interesting, "between the margins" little facts sprinkled over the rest of the book... The main protagonist perhaps isn't the most reliable source of information because he's a bit fucked in the head, but he's all you got...

I also like the moody, grey feel to the world and its stark contrast to the lively and bright characters, despite their generally darker dispositions. In making the world so rank and file it really brings the main characters to life.
