Hey English majors, how impossible is it to get a job as a professor at a community college in the states?

Convince me why I shouldn't declare my major in English/literature tomorrow even though it's my only interest besides music and history.

Convince why I should take on a STEM field and be a code monkey my entire life.

Or convince me otherwise. Please.
