What does /lit/ think of Walter Kaufmann? Was he a good scholar or did he sanitize Nietzsche for liberal America?

Was Nietzsche really an inoffensive liberal like he says?

What do you think of this Nigga? He wrote a lot of secondary literature, are any of them worth a look?

I read his intro to Kirkegaard's 'The Present Age' and it was probably one of the best preface/introduction I've ever read.
