It was Evola's custom to walk around the city of Vienna during bombing raids in order to better "ponder his destiny". During one such raid, 1945, a shell fragment damaged his spinal cord and he became paralyzed from the waist down, remaining so for the rest of his life.

I'm not in search of some purpose in life, nor am I unsure of or unsatisfied with my position in it. He seems a bit schizo, but if anything that'll make him more entertaining. However, reading him, is there anything I should keep in mind, or are there some companion pieces to read in tandem with his works? I see his name thrown around quite a but, so I'd imagine I should be more familiar with him.
