Can anyone please explain the proper Hegelian Triad to me (the thing-in-itself, thing-for-itself, both one, not the Fichtian), specifically the second term? I am planning to read him in the next few months but would like to have a rough understanding before hand. Thank you for your responses !

Since the Brothers Karamazov was serially published, I would rest for a few days between 'books' (big chapters). Sometimes I would read multiple 'books' in one sitting, other times I would only read one-a-day. For something like Don Quixote, I paused for almost a month between Part I and Part II. I rammed Locke's ass when I read the Essay, spending the whole day writing margin notes and underlining for hundreds of pages.

The main thing is, read a doorstopper that interests you, not for attention's sake.

No it's actual the perfect book for a young man uncertain about their future, it's protagonist starts off uncertain of all that's around him, and progressively moves along until he understands the connection of the entire world, and finally "knows" himself. It's all about learning from your negative experience, along the way he meets lots of whacky communities and characters, he even works for a master before becoming one himself. Lots of historical allusions the entire time, but the best part is that it's totally self contained.
