I want to learn everything I need to in order to write literature. That is, grammar, punctuation, prose, etc. At this moment, I'd like to focus mainly on punctuation and grammar.

When it comes to English in general, I'd say that most of my understanding is rather intuitive and a result from being an EFL, rather than actually knowing all the rules. Do I just mess around by writing something, get feedback, and make adjustment, or should I read up on the concepts that trouble me from a proper text; or perhaps both?

I've already gone through the whole self-learning thing with another subject. Most recommendations I had for that subject were either to start where I last left off and fill in the blanks regarding any previous concepts, or to simply start from the beginning. I tried both. First the former, then the latter. Ultimately, I went with the latter and decided to go through it once more with a more rigorous focus afterwards. This is the same approach I'd like to take with "learning" English-minus the revisiting part.

Is picrel a good source? Which ones should I check out considering what I want to do. Any other recommendations?

I checked the wiki but only found recommendations for creative writing. My professor recommend They Say I Say, but I'd like to hear any other recommendations you may have. Anything like picrel?

Thank you OP for adding the copypasta. I know it's not the best, but I know when I started writing I would have loved to have em'.

This chart is from the /lit/ wiki in the sticky. While it was a bit hidden and requires manual searching, you should still check such sources first. I've only read Stephen King's On Writing from that list, can recommend it but don't know how it stacks up to the others on the chart.
