I am reading this, but don't like it. I mean, I *like* it....but I've just read several books I like better, so I think it's suffering from comparison.

This is the most compelling book I've read in a few years. If I didn't have a test tomorrow I'd stay up all night to finish it. It's such an nice feeling to pick up a book that's been sitting on your shelf forever and find out it's amazing.

i havent seen a thread about Jose Saramago. one of my favorites writers. at first his style can be a bit confusin but once u get a hold of it.. well what do u think /lit/? i strongly recommend
