Are there any versions of Moby Dick that cut out the "quote:" parts? It doesn't even have to be all of them, just the unnecessary huge chunks, that add nothing to the rest of the story.

I thought I'd be able to enjoy those parts because I'm a little autistic and like dense information, but good Christ, I was arrogant. Even I cannot.

I assume that abridged versions would change more than just that. I don't want any other changes- I just want "Moby Dick, but you don't have to flip through a bunch of pages to get back to the story."

I have an inflamed ______anus. it hurts but not really that bad. in a now far distant and troubled youth it did happen that I experimented with prostate stimulation. I worry I am getting hemorrhoids due to structural weakness incurred. I didn't do it that much but what do you know. I haven't really heard of an inflamed ______anus, it seems like it is supposed to be pretty well guarded generally. I woke up early and had a hard time falling back asleep for the pain. I took a picture with a non-internet-connected camera to see the situation. part of the folds just looked kind of big. Hoping it will feel better by tomorrow.

Other news uni is back on tomorrow. I don't know why I would ever want uni to end, while I'm there everyone thinks I'm doing something worthwhile and it is not hard. Maybe I have a future in academia. I like reading.

And other than that today was the first good day in a long time, in spite of the inflamed ______anus.

I have very recently realized the reason I haven't been able to finish a single story is because I base my stories on my dreams- which is cool in theory, except in real life "dream logic" is insufficient foundation to build on.

Except now I'm invested in at least one of my stories based on a dream. I'm obsessed with finishing it and now I don't know how to deal with this thing. How do I shore up an unstable foundation? At this point, I've been working on it for years, and I don't care about it being marketable, I just want to be able to finish it, for myself.
