Upon recommendation from a /lit/ post regarding great sci-fi novels, I started listening to 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' audiobook read by the author. I am not sure where the story is going yet, but does anyone else find the book funny as hell? Out of nowhere it just comes out and tickles you.

I was listening to it at the gym and I had a barbell raised way up high when I hear this line: "Please call me Eddie if it will help you relax."

I burst out laughing, dropped the bar and nearly mangled my arm. Wtf, was not expecting that. Why the heck would that help them relax, like seriously where do you even get that? Haha. And, there is so much of it in this book. It's been a delight to listen to. But be careful while you do your set.

By the way, should I keep reading first and then watch the movie or should I watch the movie first?

Thanks /lit/!
