Most magazines only accept stories at 3000 words, sometimes I notice up to 4000. There doesn't seem to be a lot of opportunity for a story to develop there. How do you submit longer stories?

Language thread
I have the time to dedicate studying Spanish for 3-4 hours everyday until about September. What would be the best way to maximize this time?
Some background info. My family is Spanish so I have a good base with the language. I can speak phrases or short bursts in without to much of an accent, I can read to a degree, most of all I can understand other people, but I just can't speak real conversations.

My idea now is to completely immerse my self in spanish. Spanish news, spanish dubs for video games, and hell even spanish dubs for televesion shows or old animes. I also have a spanish II textbook from my HS days.

What I'm missing is /lit/. I'm reading some Borges stuff to get a better vocabulary. It takes me me about 5-6 minutes to get through a particularly verbose page because I'm looking for definitions and translating the meaning of things to english (the translations are done in my head not in google), although sometimes it comes naturally. I could speed read it fine, kind of slow with misteps, but I wouldn't grasp much. What are some entry level spanish /lit/ or should I work my way up with reading news?

What's the word for someone who doesn't work and spends all of his time having fun and spending money?

I stumbled across it a few months ago and can't for the life of me remember it.

Any good books you recommend that are in Spanish? Anything /sci/ related but if their are must reads than that nice too. I'm trying to buckle down and learn the language of my parents before I get any older.

In my defense, I honestly use them only as 'introductory' short reads for the topic involved (this is why I didn't like the change they made from 'introducing' to 'a graphic guide'). From then on, after finishing it, I further my reading if the topic sparked my interest.

Hi, amazing chain of events put a book by Harry Crasst into my hands. It begun as crazy gibberish from a friend who found some antiques in grandpas basement, he read this book and said its not like anything he ever read before, nothing was so ugly and antiutopistic as this. He claimed that I had to read it so I looked forward to it. Few days passed and he called me with undaubtable joy in his voice telling me that he found out they sell paperback now. So we bought them The title ts not in english and I would translate the title as Fear over Albrecht, but it could be anything.

The problem I have is that I fail in finding anything about Harry Crasst anywhere, just a note about beeing born in Prague and beeing jurnalist and novelist, on other hand the back of the book says that he was american. Sadly it also says that most of his work was destroyed in fire.

So I decided to ask you guys, anyone got reliable source of any information about Harry Crasst? Thank you.
