On one hand, there's no real enemies of civilisation and humanity, since we are all just drops of sentience living in ignorance trying to survive the best we can.

On the other hand, it's our own darker impulses that everyone feels to some degree that our the enemy. The difference between a Nazi rapist murderer and some average pleb can very often just be time and place. People will often thrive or succumb to darkness depending on their surroundings.

On another hand entirely, the enemies of civilisation are the real people who have, due to whatever forces are operating in their mind, shunned truth, beauty and goodness for the pursuit of self-gain and egoic desire. These people come in many shapes and forms, and belong to no single political party, creed, race, or even profession, but there are definitely people out there who would willingly make the world worse if it helped satisfy their dark impulses. And unfortunately in the world today, when most people have become very materialistic and refuse to look beyond the immediate, these people can thrive, as they claim authority by portraying themselves as "purveyors of prosperity" (when they are nothing of the sort.) Still, I would warn against trying to "find" and "expose" these sorts of people, since they are not wholly evil (no one is), and are just as in need of compassion and mercy as the greatest saints are (perhaps even moreso.)

Ultimately, I will not focus too much on external causes for the world's ills. Look within for answers OP, and the more you uncover your own motivations, the more the world outside you will make sense. Be the light you wish to see in the world.
