i just want to hold a girls hand

I just rejected a $1,000,000 inheritance offered by my grandfather. Told him to split it and add to the other grandchildren's money. I don't know why I even said it. Something about the whole thing didn't feel right, it felt corrupting on a deeper level for my relationship with him.
Long drive home, just got back. Now I'm second guessing myself.
Am I a fucking idiot? Wtf is wrong with me? I might have said no to a life without financial anxiety.

I work at a bookstore. Today I was talking to my boss who's big into DFW and I started making some comparisons, in generalities naturally, about Infinite Jest and how Wallace was similar to DeLillo and my boss was very enthusiastic about what I had to say. I went for the trifecta and started talking about how they were both commenting on a world that had essentially fallen from grace and in their own ways they were trying to express a sacred reality hidden in the myth of America and tbrqphwy I think he caught on that I was faking it. What the fuck do I do. How do I fix this? I haven't read any DFW or Delillo. help me /lit/. pseud general I guess.
