If you read the source material for Raul Hilberg it’s really not much better, if you don’t believe me watch the first part of “1/3 of the Holocaust”, the guy literally films himself going through Hilbergs sources and shows how Raul cherry-picked the stuff that sounds less insane and obviously made up. Completely agree, they incorporated a lot from earlier groups like the “Wandervögel” and are difficult to pin down on a modern left/right axis.

Where are you getting 1939 from? Hitler never cared for gay shit, but tolerated Röhm because he had connections, he was always pragmatic about social issues above all else. They purged that shit once they came to power, in 1933.
