thinking of a scifi scenario where the earth becomes an arcology as soon as possible. starts with 80s neoliberalism run loose, artificial wombs etc. companies and governments start breeding ppl and it becomes an arms race. within 5 decades there are a trillion people on earth, and billions on mars and the moon. and by 2080 all 3 are arcologies. need to calculate the upper limits but they're actually more limited by with how to deal with waste heat than anything else

the point of the framing is to get a kind of trantor like imperial centre for a galactic empire asap so their technology and culture are much more closer to ours than in something that takes place in 3000 or 10000
