I always liked to believe that the periphery social media circles that have been around here since time immemorial (discord channels, telegram groups, snapchats, IRC channels, etc) were endogenous outgrowths of /lit/, but increasingly it seems /lit/ has been swallowed by these platforms. Eternal September has really accelerated. The problem is that many of the smaller and more obscure chans don't care about literature, as they tend to populated by 'tech frontierist' who are mainly into programming and video games.
