Have people actually read Finnegans Wake and understood it?

When I read it or try to it's like I'm reading how I hear a thick Irish Accent like an Irish Accent Irish people from Dublin would have trouble fully understanding.
When I got the free ebook version I thought maybe I downloaded it in a different language or the file was corrupted so I purchased a version I made sure was English and it was the exact same version as the free ebook version so I just started reading again.
Each word in the book seems unique like after I read that word it will never appear in the rest of the book or in any book ever.
I try not to read about great books because I don't want anything spoiled but I think that won't happen with this book.
