Who should I read if I want to pioneer a new literary movement? The modernists? The postmodernists? Hard books (pic related)?

I'm not reading the Beats because they're just a bunch of drug-addled boylovers.

I'm in part 2 and sub-140 iq so take anything I say with that in mind
it's much easier than late Joyce, about on par with harder parts of IJ. There's a lot of little details that are referenced later, that and keeping track of each character when they may or may not be subconscious projections of other characters that may or may not be going insane makes it a strange read
On an insight/page basis it's really really high for me
really like this basil valentine guy because I'm a e/lit/ist psued fag just like him XD
I'm starting with gaddis here and checking out JR later but maybe someone who's read more of him can tell you if another order is better or if any other works are worth checking out
