Thanks, it's been a while. On second reading of the countless dead quote, I noticed that the word countless doesn't appear. I'm sure Gene sat there and thought, let's just not do that and instead describe the meaning of countless in a sentence or two. Millions and millions, and it works so well. Maybe this is something writers do all the time, I don't have a clue about these things.

Another question to everyone: what was your favourite moments in the Solar Cycle not including BoTNS+Urth?

Long Sun: Brothel visit, Talus factory, anytime someone was possessed.

Short Sun: Sailing with Seawrack, Krait bromance, Italian wars.
