It was real, real good. Genuinely felt like Three Body (minus awkward protag and shit translation), or the earlier sections of Dark Forest. Lots of absolutely bonkers shit, as usual, but had some really great characters and tense writing.

Big hate for the ending though. Jesus Christ, so ghost psycho lady returns to lecture us about bees, wtf? Really broke up the tension. Also, I was frankly a little disappointed by the lack of scale. I was convinced the crazy bitch going to configure the macro-electron/neutron selectivity to humans and just exterminate all life on the planet or something. I guess the ending was still vert smart though, so I'm whining.

Yeah so idk overall a 7.5/10? Without the aliens hanging overhead I guess it was missing something vs TBP (would the anon from last thread mind elucidating the way this story was meant to connect into TBP?).
