I don't get Ancaps. Whenever you see Ancaps represent themselves it is with huge stacks of gold bullion, racks of guns, tailored suits, private helicopters and the like. Furthermore, most Ancaps are Americans, which means they are in the most friendly environment for entrepreneurship and business in the world. So one would think that Ancaps, with their fethishisation of wealth and success—and with what their ideology necessarily implies about the societal order they wish to bring about—must be successful budding wheelers-and-dealers taking the world by storm; but this assumption couldn't be further from the truth. Most Ancaps are weird societal outcasts who couldn't in anyway be considered a success. Like, they think they are these business magnates because they made 50 bucks off Crypto. They think they are economic geniuses because they took econ 101 (and most haven't even done that). They think they'll have a harem of women even though they've never held hands with one, nevermind anything else. If they aren't successful with a government protecting them, why do they think they would be without one?
