Is philosophy a meme? I bought Kant's first critique and Hegel Phenomenology of the Spirit, and they are so convoluted and opaque, and when I listen to lectures or read summaries, it seems like they could've both completed them in the introductions.

I want to read Fichte, Schelling, and a few other guys, but are they for plebs like me that just want to read their ideas and think about them or is it only valuable to professional philosophers who they were writing for.
